“How are you?” Do they want a conversation, and answer? How come a “Hey!” in passing doesn’t do it for some people. It irritates me when someone asks me how I am in passing because to me, it’s an invitation for conversation when neither of the individuals have the time.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I ask a question, I expect an answer. Apparently a lot of people don’t. I strongly believe that a one word “Hi ” or “hey” is a much better greeting in passing than “How are you”. endrant
